Blu di Langa

Soft ripened blue cheese, pasteurized

 

Made of cow milk, sheep milk, goat milk, ferments, salt, rennet.

Cylinder shaped, grey-green colour, weight about 1 kg (21/4 lb).

The beautiful marbling of Blu di Langa, widespread in the rind as in the creamy heart, is obtained piercing the cheese in order to oxygenate it, allowing the moulds to develop and grow. The result is a surprisingly, delicate contrast between the sweetness and the softness of the paste and the roughness of the marbling with its mushrooms and underbrush flavours.

Tasting suggestion: at room temperature.

Packaging: a special resealable case allows the cheese to ripen, perfectly preserving its characteristics by keeping humidity steady.

Case weight about 1 kg (21/4 lb).

Storage recommendations: keep at +4°/+8°C (39°/46°F).

Shelf life: 55 days.
